FORSYTHE, GEORGE ROBERT - George Robert Forsythe of Hillsborough passed away peacefully on May 17th, 2014 at the Moncton Hospital. He was born in New Waterford, Cape Breton in 1944, son of the late George G. and Eileen (Coakley) Forsythe. George graduated from Oromocto High in 1963, worked at the Bank of Nova Scotia in several areas for 14 years, last working for T.P. Downey & Sons.. He was a member of the Hillsborough Baptist Church. George was very community minded and was serving as a Councillor for the Village of Hillsborough. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Sheila (Brooks); daughter, Amanda Rossiter (Greg); sons, Frank (Cindy), Michael (Kimberley) and Darren (Tanya) and his grandchildren, Lexie, Matthew, Sarah and Brooklyn; sisters, Barbara Forsythe and Marion Beers ; brothers Greg (Muriel), Marty (Angela) and Tom (Sandra). He will also be missed by several nieces, nephews and friends.
George will be resting at the Hillsborough Baptist Church on Tuesday, May 20th, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held at the Hillsborough Baptist Church on Wednesday, May 21st at 1:00 pm with Rev. Dean MacDonald and Rev. Tim Johnson officiating.
