It is with great sadness that the family of the late Robin Ralph Hinks of Port au Choix announces his passing at Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s on May 9, 2014 in his 39th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Nadine; sons Keegan and Tristen (April); parents Elizabeth Hinks and Ralph O'Keefe; parents-in-law Jane and Val Cull; sisters Joy, Janet (Stewart), Elaine (Warren), and Sharon (Harrison); brothers Craig (Jean), Edward (Connie), Kieran (Lucille) and their families; sister- in-law Natrisha (Corey) Shaniel and Shalynn, and a very large circle of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his co-workers at Northern Boat Repair. Robin was the current deputy mayor of Port au Choix and served as a firefighter for several years in the past. He was predeceased by his grandparents Alma and Ralph O'Keefe Sr. and Stella and Peter Hinks. Cremation took place and was entrusted to Carnell's Funeral Home. Friends were accepted at the Hinks/O'Keefe and Cull residences and a funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 14 at the Roman Catholic Church in Port au Choix with Father Ambrose Hynes officiating.
