McGLASHING, PHYLLIS T. L. - The Lord called another angel home. At the age of 88, Phyllis T. L. McGlashing, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital on Tuesday, May 20, 2014. Born in Dorchester Cape, she was the daughter of the late William Edward and Ada Irene (Blair) Tower. Phyllis was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a former employee of the T. Eaton Co. Ltd., a member of Sunny Brae Baptist Church for over 50 years, a member of the WMS Society and enjoyed doing puzzles and reading. In recent years, she attended the McLaughlin Drive Church of the Nazarene. Phyllis will be sadly missed by her son, Phillip and daughter, Irene, both of Moncton; grandchildren, Bradley, Teri Leigh and Tanya; great-grandsons, Duma and Elias Simon, sister, Mildred Straight of Lower Sackville, NS; several loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friend, Carolyn Matthews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Roy L. McGlashing (2008); brothers, Starr, Adelbert and sisters, Rita, Bessie and Pearl.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Celebration of Life Service for Phyllis will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 11:00 am, with Rev. Patti Rossiter and Rev. Colin Cook officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
