At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the passing of Elsie Marie MacKay (nee Buell), age 77, of Charlottetown, loving wife of the late Vernie MacKay, occurred on Wednesday, May 21, 2014.
Born June 20, 1936, in Abney, P.E.I., she was the daughter of the late Nelson and Rhoda (Kennedy) Buell.
Elsie is survived by her loving daughters: Nelsina MacKay, Charlottetown, and Wendy (Wendell) Laybolt, Souris; sisters: Isabel Nicholson D. D., Bertha Robbins, Nellie McLellan, Valerie Gordon; brothers: Fenton Buell, Heath Buell; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by brother, Roy Buell; sisters: Ruby MacEachern, Eva Brehault, Marjorie Gallant and Fern MacDonald.
Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting Friday, May 23, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service to be held at the Ferguson Logan Montague Chapel on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at 2 p.m. Interment to take place in the Murray River Cemetery.
In lieu, of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke Fund or the Lung Association would be appreciated.
