It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Maye Keen of Amherst, NS. on May 17, 2014 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, surrounded by her friends.
She was the daughter of the late Alfred and Gladys Keen.
Maye was a Registered Nurse who worked in the medical field all her professional life and retired as a Nursing Supervisor at Highland View Hospital in Amherst.
Maye is survived by her best friend Kay, as well as several nieces and nephews in P.E.I.
In accordance with her wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service.
Cremation has taken place.
A celebration of Maye’s life will be held at a future date to be announced.
Maye had a deep love for all animals and was one of the founding board members of the L.A. Animal Shelter.
Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the L.A. Animal Shelter if so desired.
