MORRISON, REV. DAVID R. - Rev. David R. Morrison, 97, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at Serenacare on Thursday, May 22, 2014. Born in Saskatoon, SK, he was the son of the late Murdock and Hilda (Stevenson) Morrison. David was a retired Church of the Nazarene Minister with 31 years’ service and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene Moncton. He served in Summerside, PEI, London, Toronto and St. Catherines, ON, Red Deer, AB and Moncton. He is survived by one brother, Arnold and several nieces, nephews and his Church of the Nazarene family. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Ruth (Morrison) Morrison in March 2003; sisters, Myrtle and Jean; brothers, Murdock, Lester, Harold and Stuart.
Visitation at First Church of the Nazarene Moncton (Fieldcrest Drive) on Sunday, May 25, 2014 from 1:00 pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 2:30 pm, with Rev. Dr. Gary Cowper officiating. Reception in the Church Hall following the service. Interment, Birch Hill Cemetery, Berry Mills. Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) in care of arrangements.
