
John Allison "Jack" MacAndrew
Jack MacAndrew, age 81 of Meadowbank P.E.I. passed away peacefully with his family by his side in Charlottetown, P.E.I. at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital at sunrise on Friday, May 23, 2014.
He was the eldest son of Lieutenant Comander John and Rhoda (Allison) MacAndrew of Campbellton, New Brunswick.
He leaves his wife of 57 years, (married 1957), Barbara Myfanwy (Harris-Tuck); his sons, Shaun Allison MacAndrew (Lois Stewart), Stratford, P.E.I., William Randall (Randy) MacAndrew, Charlottetown, P.E.I.; grandchildren, Stewart John MacAndrew, Charlottetown, Layton Alexander MacAndrew, Stratford, P.E.I., Miranda Rooney-MacAndrew, Charlottetown, P.E.I., Britany (Tony) Perry, Summerside, P.E.I., Roland Perry (Jody Payne), St. Albert, Alberta; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Deaven, Jasmine, Dayson Perry, Victoria Faith (Tory) and Anthony Noah Provost; brother William "Bill" (Carolyn) MacAndrew, Ottawa, Ont.; sisters, Anne MacAndrew (Charles Gunn), Bridgewater, N.S., and Heather MacAndrew (David Springbett) of Victoria, B.C.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home, 33-35 Longworth Ave., Charlottetown, P.E.I., for visiting hours on Tuesday, May 27, from 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 28, with funeral service from St. Peter’s Cathedral at 11 a.m.
If so desired, contributions in memory of Jack may be made to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation or St. Peter’s Cathedral Building Fund.
