Anna Mcnee
Anna G. McNee, age 91, Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully May 23, 2014 at Glace Bay Hospital and Healthcare Facility.
She was the daughter of the late Archibald Forbes and Marguerite (Kennedy) Forbes. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Dr. Sidney McNee, brother Donald Forbes, sister Jean (Forbes) McNeil. Anna was the last member of her immediate family.
Anna has donated her body to medical science at Dalhousie University.
Along with her wishes she wrote the following verse from the poem “Solitude” by Alexander Pope:
Thus let me live, unseen, unknown;
Thus unlamented let me die;
Steal from the world, and not a stone
Tell where I lie.
Anna was a kind and loving lady with a wonderful sense of humour. She will be missed.
