Diana Campbell Hounsell (nee Pond)
Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Complex surrounded by her loving family, following a courageous battle with cancer, Diana Hounsell, age 68 years. Predeceased by her parents Annie and George Pond, and her brother Donald Pond. Leaving to mourn and cherish her memory, her loving husband of 47 years, Frank Hounsell; children: Gail Hounsell (special friend Gordon Oliver), Wendy Snow (Hounsell) (Todd Snow), and Paul Hounsell (Mary Ann Hounsell); her precious granddaughter Emily Ann Hounsell; brothers: Colin Pond of Badger's Quay, and Alexander Campbell of Inverness, Scotland; sisters-in-law: Irene Pond, Jenny Pond, Sophie Campbell, Martha Beson, and Louise Jones; brothers-in-law: Claude Jones, and Edward Beson; as well as a number of nieces and nephews, and a wide circle of some wonderful friends. A special thank you to the Doctors of the Health Sciences Complex who displayed such wonderful love and care; the Nursing staff of 4NorthA and the Ambulatory Treatment Centre who were exceptionally caring and always there for her; to our hospital chaplain, Fr. John Courage who supported her and loved her throughout her illness - they both became very good friends; and to our priest at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Rev. Charlene Taylor, who was always there at every beck and call - your unconditional support and guidance will be forever remembered. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Monday, May 26, from 10am-12noon, 2-4pm, and 7-9pm; then at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove, on Tuesday, May 27, from 7-9pm, and Wednesday, May 28, from 10am - 12noon, 2-4pm, and 7-9pm. Funeral Service will take place from St. Alban's Anglican Church, Badger's Quay, on Thursday, May 29, 2014, at 2:00pm, with cremation to follow. Interment will take place at the Anglican Cemetery, Badger's Quay, on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 2:00pm.
