I often lay awake at night
When the world is fast sleep
And take a walk down memory lane
With tears upon my cheeks
The years I had with you
Are worth their weight in gold
The joy and laughter you gave me
Are mine to have and hold
Remembering you is easy
I do it every day
But missing you is a heartache
That never goes away.
I hold you close within my heart
And there you will remain
To walk with me through my life
Until we meet again.
