Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, May 24, 2014, Oscar R. Parsons of Harbour Grace, age 83 years. Predeceased by wife: Kathleen, granddaughter: Jessica, parents: James and Pearl, sisters: Joyce Neil, Dorothy Keough and Viola Cumby, brothers-in-law: William Neil, Leo Keough and Gordon Stone. Leaving to mourn, daughter: Margaret (William) George, Labrador City; son: Garry (Venus), Calgary, AB and devoted son and best friend: Randolph, Harbour Grace; four grandchildren: Heather (Bruce) Rowe, Labrador City, Mathew George (Barbara O'Rielly), CBS, Shawn Parsons and Kimberley Parsons, both of Ottawa, ON; brother: Charles (Victoria), Harbour Grace; sisters: Ethel Stone, Olive Holloway and Hazel (Leo) Purcell, all of Harbour Grace, Irene (Rendell) Stone, Bryant's Cove, Greta (Bert) Brickman, Arizona and Amelia (Bud) Weimer, New York; brother-in-law: Ches Cumby, BC; also a number of other relatives and friends.
