OXFORD/TRENTON – George Nisbet Wilson Jr., age 73, of Oxford, formerly of Trenton, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014 in Cumberland Regional Hospital, Amherst.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late George Nisbet and Elizabeth Marjorie (Levangie) Wilson.
He was a member of the Black Watch and served with the armed forces in Germany. George Jr. was a very kind and caring person. He was the eldest of seven and is survived by siblings: Mark (Dorothy), Trenton; Mary (Sandy) MacDonald, Port Hawkesbury; Walter (Muriel), Enfield; Elizabeth (Graham) MacLean, Dartmouth; Kevin (Crystal), Guelph, ON; Charmaine (Dale) Jenkins, Trenton; a number of nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews; aunt, Sister Mary Edna Levangie, Sydney; cousin, Ebbie (Kathy) Wilson.
He was predeceased by aunts: Elizabeth “Libby” Wilson and Mary Wilson in infancy; Mary Gerrior, Stella Levangie in infancy, Grace Levangie and Hazel Levangie.
Visitation 7-9 p.m. Thursday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, Trenton. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Friday in Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, Trenton, with Father Gary MacPherson officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
