Passed peacefully away at the U.S. Memorial Health Care Centre, St. Lawrence, NL, on Friday, May 23rd, 2014, RITA FAREWELL, of Creston South, NL, in her 90th year. Leaving to mourn her loving daughters Elizabeth Murphy (Michael), Little Bay, Rona Legge, Marystown, Ruby Pardy (Rendell), Garnish, Nora Stapleton (Vincent), Marystown, Florence Cleal, St. John’s, Cindy Smith (Keith), Halifax, NS, sons Charles (Verlie), Collins Cove, Cecil (Jess), Halifax, NS, William, Creston South, Austin, Creston South, and Henry (Claudia), Marystown; 25 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren and 5 great - great grandchildren; and a large number relatives and friends.

Rita is predeceased by her parents Henry and Elizabeth Rogers, sons Wade and Henry, daughter Mavis, brothers Charles, Jim, and Fred Rogers and sister Carrie.

Rev. Gloria Wendover and Rev. Robert Peddle conducted the Funeral Service at St. Michael’s Anglican Church, Creston South, on Monday, May 26th, 2014; at 2:00 pm. Interment was at the Anglican Church Cemetery in Creston South.

In Rita’s memory, donations may be made to the St. Michaels Anglican Church Cemetery Fund, Creston South.

Pall bearers were Wayne Farewell, Gary Murphy, Bill Legge, Trevor Pardy, Mark Legge, and Corey Stapleton.
