Walter passed away May 25, 2014 in Sechelt, B.C.  Born in Toronto, July 16, 1929 he moved to the West Coast in the 1940's. There he began a long career at Rivtow Marine, where he worked on the tugs as deckhand and then Captain until his retirement. Walt was predeceased by his parents, brother, and son Gordon. He is survived by his sister Pat, wife of 60 years Rose, daughter Heather (Ian) and very loved granddaughter Kaitlin. He will be missed greatly by his family and remembered for his love of boats and spending time on the water.  Our thanks to all the nurses and staff at Shorncliffe.
