Passed peacefully away on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at the Health Sciences Complex, Railton "Ray" Thomas Bowering age 87 years. Predeceased by his wife Kathleen (nee Spurrell); sisters: Olga, Ruby, Audrey and Doris. Leaving to mourn his children: Wayne (Brenda), Paul (Lesley), Ruby French (Derek), Rick (Dianna) and Dave (Liz); grandchildren: Trevor Bowering (Brooke), Chris Bowering (Mariam), Laura French, Mark French (Kristen); great grandsons: Sawyer French and Owen Bowering; sister Eileen Farrell; brother-in-law Gerry Spurrell (Margaret); friends and staff at Karwood Retirement Resort, Paradise; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service to be held from The Salvation Army Temple, Torbay Road on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road.
