
Jeffrey Collicott
COLLICOTT, JEFFREY L. - It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Jeffrey Lee Collicott on May 30, 2014 at the QEII Victoria General Hospital in Halifax, N.S. Born in Woodstock, N.B. on December 22, 1953, he was a son of Beulah A. (MacFarlane) Collicott and the late Joseph M. Collicott. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his brother Michael. Jeff is survived by his beloved mother Beulah Collicott and by his loving husband and soul mate, Ian Cordner and two sons, whom he adored, Eric (Amanda) and Matthew (Marsha) and grandchildren, Mataya, Sofia and Cooper as well as his adored step-daughter Allison Cordner (Chris) and their children Gabriel and Virginia, as well as his dear niece, Stephanie Ford (Clark Murray), who kept bedside vigil in Jeff’s last weeks. Jeff is also survived by brothers Morris (Julie), Joey and Martin (Valerie) and sisters Marian and Nora (Bob); a sister-in-law Alice Collicott and many nieces and nephews from his large family that were a vital part of his life. He leaves behind a cherished companion, his loving West Highland Terrier pup, Piper. Jeff worked at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital for 35 years in various capacities. The staff at the DECRH will surely miss his bubbly persona and comedic antics. Spirituality was a driving component in Jeff’s life. Jeff will be remembered for is quick and exuberant laughter, his gentle spirit and genuine friendliness. He leaves in his wake, a wide berth of people who loved him for the wonderful person he was and the lessons of love and acceptance he taught us along the way. The family wishes to say a special thank-you to the amazing staff of the DECRH (4NW and ICU), Fredericton, N.B., and the staff of the QEII Victoria General Hospital, Halifax, N.S.
The family welcome Jeff’s many friends to join them for a time of sharing memories which will be held from Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Thursday evening from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
