Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, May 30, 2014, Paul J. Brien of Carbonear, age 53 years. Predeceased by father: James Brien; father-in-law: Eric King; brother: Leo; sister-in-law: Printzlyne King. Left to mourn, wife: Lillian G.; two daughters: Denise (Robert) Smith, Carbonear and Deanne (Cory) Boutcher, Victoria; one son: Paul (Lana), Grand Prairie, AB; three grandchildren: David (Caila), Matthew and Erica; two brothers: James (Marie), Edmonton, AB and David (Katrina), Carbonear; mother: Mary Brien, Carbonear; mother-in-law: Melvina King, Carbonear; brothers-in-law: Clarence (Arlene) King and Lester (Jenny) King, both of Salmon Cove, Ross (Stella) King and Darrell (Wanda) King, both of Carbonear; sister-in-law: Vida (Jim) Butt, Carbonear; nephew: Adam (Jaime); special uncle: Lloyd Brien, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Rev. Roscoe Cole conducted the Funeral service on Sunday, June 1 from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Interment took place in the United Church Cemetery, Perry's Cove. Donations in his memory may be made to the Paul J. Brien Memorial Fund.
