BORDAGE, ADRICE - Adrice Joseph Bordage, husband of the late Juliette (Chevarie) Bordage, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2014 surrounded by his children at the Kingsway Care Center, at the age of 86. Born in Acadieville, NB on May 22, 1928, he was the son of the late Frederic and Madelaine (Guimond) Bordage. Adrice was a hardworking man his entire life. He worked as a CP Trucker at the Saint John Port for many years. He was a member of Local #1BAC for several years before becoming a self-employed bricklayer. He was eventually hired by the Board of School Trustees, District 8, as a Mason, until he retired in 1993. Over the years, Adrice spent a great deal of time at the Lancaster arena, where he coached several hockey teams and watched his own sons play. He and Juliette also enjoyed the time they spent together at their summer cottage at Terrio Lake for more than 30 years. Adrice will be sadly missed by his children: Ginette Morrison (Peter), Emile Bordage (Doreen), Paul Bordage, (Cathy), Adrien Bordage, (Francine), Georgette McHugh (Norman), Ann-Marie Oram (John), Doreen Maxan (Dwight), and Adrice Bordage Jr. (Lori), 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his three brothers, Louis (Rita) of Acadieville, Emile (Therese) of Saint John, and Arthur (late Mary) of Saint John, two sisters, Edith (late Edmond) of Villa Maria, St. Louis de Kent, and Corinne of Saint Foy, Quebec, and a very special friend, Emile Thebeau of Quispamsis, NB, who visited him regularly at Kings Way Care Center for the past six years. The family would like to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to Adrice’s “extended” family at the Kings Way Care Center for the gentle and loving care and support provided over the past six years, and especially the last couple of weeks. You will always be considered family!!Resting at Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) Saturday and Sunday, June 7th and 8th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 9th at 12 noon from St. Rose de Lima, 541 Milford Road, Saint John. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations in Adrice’s memory can be made to Kings Way Care Center, Alzheimer’s Society or donor’s choice.
