The death occurred peacefully at home in Courtland, Ont., on Saturday, May 31, 2014, of Mary Margaret “Jeannette” Doucette at the age of 71 years. Survived by her beloved husband and caregiver of 55 years, Eugene (Gene) Doucette. She was born in DeBlois on Feb. 23, 1943, the daughter of Olive (Peters) Arsenault, Tignish, and the late Albert Arsenault. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Eugenia (Fabian Power), Etobicoke; Bruce Doucette, Ottawa; Karen Doucette (John VanBlyderveen) Tillsonburg; Sherry Doucette, Niagara Falls; and Anne (Mike Hipkin), Beeton, Ont. Proud and loving grandmother of 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Dear sister to Marie (Kevin) DesRoches, Anglo; Linda (Fred) Doucette, Skinner Pond; Connie Carragher, Tignish; Wesley (Janet) Arsenault, St. Edward; Cecil Arsenault, Anglo; Austie (Phyllis) Arsenault, Nail Pond; Andrew (Angie) Arsenault, Charlottetown; Brian Arsenault, Tignish; and Joe (Anne) Arsenault, Anglo. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road, Palmer Road, for visiting hours Friday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral will be held Saturday at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, where funeral mass will be celebrated by Rev Arthur Sequeira at 10:30 a.m. Memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
