(October 17, 1930 - December 26, 2008) — Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family on Friday, December 26, 2008, Cyril Hayes of Georgetown, aged 78 years. Cyril served overseas from 1952-1958. Predeceased by his parents, William and Mary (nee Bartlett) Hayes. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife, Alice (nee Hawco) of 48 years. Sons, Gary, Steve (Juanita), Neil (Melinda), Jerome (Michelle). Daughters, Alicia (Gerard), Debbie (Tom), twin brother Frank (Joan), grandchildren William, Matthew, Valen, Holly, Dylan, Dallas, Taylor and Ethan, two special nephews, Derm and Cecil Sparkes, also special foster daughter of 19 years, Shelia Newhook. Resting at Broughton's Funeral Home, Brigus with visitation on Sunday from 2 to 10 p.m.; Monday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Funeral to take place on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. from Our Lady of Snows Church, Marysvale with interment to follow in the R.C.
