Lloyd Whitney Eugene Woodworth - 79, of Kentville, passed away peacefully, with his loving family by his side, Saturday, June 7, 2014 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Steam Mill, Kings County, he was a son of the late Frank and Blanche (Bennett) Woodworth. He worked on the Robinson farm in Steam Mill, Cornwallis Dairy in Kentville and retired from Kentville Publishing. He was a member of Bethany Memorial Baptist Church, Aldershot, where he was a member of the Men's Fellowship Group and served as a Trustee. He is survived by a brother, Bligh (Jackie), Liverpool; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four sisters, Mary, Grace (Francis) Deal, Elsie (Neil) Zwicker and Rita (Clarence) Nickelson; two brothers, Edgar and Wilfred (Evelyn). He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and church family. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2014 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. The funeral service, followed by a reception, was held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2014 in Bethany Memorial Baptist Church, Reverend Thelma McLeod officiating. Burial took place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the Annapolis Valley Victorian Order of Nurses (Home Care), Dr. Nunn and the doctors and staff at the Valley Regional Hospital. Donations in memory may be made to the Annapolis Valley Victorian Order of Nurses or Bethany Memorial Baptist Church.
