Peacefully, at Whisperwood Villa, on Saturday, June 7, 2014, of Catherine “Kallie” Wood, formerly of Charlottetown and Kinlock, age 94 years. Daughter of the late Percy and Catherine Downe.
Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Ferne (Murray) Stevenson of Stanhope and Gayle (Myron) MacDonald of Covehead; her stepdaughters, Evelyn (Fred) Jenkins of Millview and Bonnie (Frank) Dewar of Vernon Bridge; sister, Minnie (late Sydney) Clay; sister-in-law, Jessie (late Russell) Downe; sister-in-law, Lona (late Calvin) York. Proud Nana to John (Cheryl) Stevenson, Cathy (Rick) Chadwick, Susan (Larry) Currie, Leigha (Kerwin) Brown, and Franklin (Peggy) MacDonald, Heather (Al) MacKinnon, Jeff (Cindy) Jenkins and Emily Dewar. Also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Predeceased by her first husband, Jack Hermann, and by her second husband, Edward Wood; by her brothers, Edward (Flo) Downe, Robert (Gladys) Downe, Russell Downe; sisters, Florence (Hawley) Crockett, Olive (Birt) Hencher and Roma (Bob) Slomer.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Interment in the People’s Cemetery, Charlottetown.
Visitation Monday from 4 to 7 p.m.
