Bosworth, George Allen, age 79, of Hantsport, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2014, at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, surrounded by his family. Born on June 8, 1935, in Windsor, he was the son of the late Harry and Helen (Gray) Bosworth. George worked for over 40 years, at Minas Basin Pulp & Power, Hantsport. George is survived by his wife of 59 years, Josephine Francine “Shirley” (De Herdt) Bosworth; his children, Susan (Martin) Gillis, Hantsport; Robert Bosworth (Elizabeth), Central Greenwich, NB; Catherine (Robert) Lawrence, Falmouth; Brenda Frank (Gary Lynch), Hantsport; Carol (Alex) Morine, Hantsport; Debby (Andy) Richard, Martock; 16 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Hancock, in Ontario; Shirley Ritchie, Hantsport; brothers, David (Kay), Hants Border; Richard (Sheleah), Hantsport; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Peggy Bosworth; brother-in-law, Bill Hancock and Bruce Ritchie. Visitation was 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home (902-798-2232), 194 King Street, Windsor. Funeral service was 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2014, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Bill Gibson officiated, followed by a reception in the Lindsay Family Reception Centre. Interment was held in the Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport. Donations in memory of George were requested to be made to the S.P.C.A.
