SEARLE, J. LEIGH - 1934 - 2014 - Trenton, Ont. - John Leigh Searle, of Trent Valley Lodge, Trenton, Ont., and formerly of Miramichi, N.B., passed away at his residence on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at the age of 79. Born in Chatham, on September 20, 1934, he was the son of the late John M. and Margaret (Bailey-Christie) Searle. He was a self employed truck owner/operator and a member of St. Marys Anglican Church, Miramichi, N.B. He is survived by one son, Rick Searle (Debbie), of Trenton, Ont.; one daughter, Wendy Granley (Chris), of Innisvale, Ont.; one sister, Anne Preston (Jack), of Fredericton, three brothers, Peter Searle (Lee), of New Glasgow, N.S., Robert Searle (Sheila), of Moncton, Bill Searle, of Moncton, N.B.; five grandchildren, Jessica and Adam Searle and Sean, Kyle at Erin Granley.
Visiting will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Saturday, June 21st, from 11am until 1pm, followed by a funeral service from St. Marys Anglican Church, Miramichi, N.B., at 2pm. Interment will be in St. Pauls Anglican Cemetery, Miramichi, N.B. Please note - a reception with the family will be held at St. Marys Church immediately following the service.
