It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elsie Florence Dennis announce her passing on Monday, June 9, 2014 in her 81st year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her children: Calvin Dennis (Lisa), Ronald Dennis (Marion) and Evelyn Hann; son-in-law, David Hilliard; grandchildren: Amanda Soper (Darin), Ronnie Dennis (Kim), Michael Dennis (Deana), Lisa Macdonald (Brian), Perry Hann (Magda), Rhonda Robson (Paul) and Mark Hilliard (Stephanie); 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Herald Humber (Robina); sister, Ivy Williams and sister-in-law, Stella Humber; as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her daughter, Vera Hilliard (2013); her parents, Albert & Miriam Humber; ­sisters: Ella, Dorothy, Melissa and Rose; brothers: Ronald, Harold, Reginald, Cyril and Donald. A special thank you to the Staff at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue, on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 12 at 11:00 a.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Chapel, St. Mark’s Avenue, with Rev. Rosemarie Payne officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility.
