Passed peacefully away at the Glenbrook Lodge Clara "Doris" Pelley in the Presence of her family on June 9th, 2014. Predeceased by parents Francis and Sarah Pelley, Step Father Walter Spurrell, brother George Pelley, sister Ada Kean, nieces: Lisa Tucker and Tiffany Legge, and brother-in-law Harvey Dawe. Leaving behind with fond wonderful memories brother Fred Pelley (Louise) (Mt. Pearl); sisters: Eileen Dawe (Ontario), Cora Rowe (Reg) (Whiteway), Betty Bryant (George) (New Perlican): sister-in-law: Ethel Pelley (Mt. Pearl) and brother-in-law Max Kean (Gander), also two special aunts: Margarite Foster (Halifax), and Doris Taylor (Gus) (Kelligrews). Doris also leaves behind many treasured nieces, nephews, and cousins and her beloved friends, nurses and staff at the Glenbrook Lodge. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home on Thursday June 12 from 7pm-9pm and Friday June 13 from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. Funeral service will be held at the Salvation Army Citadel, Adams Avenue on Saturday June 14 at 11am, interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road. Flowers graciously accepted, or donations in Doris's memory may be made to the Salvation Army, St. John's Citadel, or Glenbrook Lodge.
