HACHÉ, LUDOVIC - (1931 - 2014) - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear papa, Ludovic Haché, where he was surrounded by his family at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton on June 9, 2014. Ludovic was the son of Joseph D. Haché and Léontine Losier of Saint-Isidore, NB. He was the husband of Andrina Chiasson and father to Gisèle (Peter Higgins), Suki (Mark Cope), Michel (Mary Maxwell), Nanette (Glen Connolly), Nicole (Robert Dubé), Marc-André (Michelle Hammersley) and step-father to Jean-Pierre (deceased), Lise, François and Raymond (Lyen Jones); he also leaves his grandchildren: Jacqueline, John, Joseph, Monique, Étienne, Catherine, Brennan, Lauren, Robbie, Sofie, Ella, Jean-Marc, Josée, Céline, Sterre, Guerric and Anaïs. He is survived by many brothers and sisters: Louis (Irène Barthe), Roger (Germaine Haché), Yolande (Edmond St-Laurent), Berthile (Romain Losier), Brother Cyprien, Jean-Luc (Alvine Drysdale), Achille (Jeanne Dumais), Camilla (Victor Bortolussi). He was predeceased by four brothers and sisters. Lou worked several years with J.D. Irving and then with Atmus Equipment until his retirement in 1980. In addition to the time spent taking care of his children, Ludovic became a wonderful cook and also undertook wine making in his retirement. He loved gatherings of family and friends and will always be remembered fondly for his humour, excellent meals and exceptional blueberry wine.
Visitation for family and friends will take place at the Robichaud Funeral Home in Tracadie-Sheila, 3875 rue Principale (www.salonrobichaud.com) on Friday, June 13 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral will be at the Saint-Isidore Catholic church on Saturday, June 14 at 11 am. A reception is to follow.
