The death occurred at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday, June 9, 2014, of Carman Albert Gay, Carleton Lot 6, aged 65, beloved husband of Betty (Silliker) Gay. Born on January 3, 1949, in O'Leary, he was the son of the late Albert and Bertha (Bulger) Gay. Dear father to Shelley (Todd) Coughlin, Darren, Kent (Jennifer) and Wade. Loving grandfather to Makayla, Tiffany and Cody Coughlin; Kyle, Paige, Benson and Owen Silliker. Carman is also survived by his sister Marion Betts; brothers and sisters-in-law Lillian (Charles) Phillips, Barry (Lillian) Silliker and Donald Sweet. Predeceased by his parents, sister Marjorie (Arthur) Smith, brother-in-law Ivan Dud Betts, sister-in-law Linda Sweet and his mother and father-in-law Claude and Marjorie Silliker. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O'Leary, with visiting hours Thursday, June 12, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service on Friday, June 13, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel, at 4:30 p.m. Interment to follow in the Springfield West Baptist Cemetery. In memory of Carman, memorials to Springfield West Baptist Cemetery or Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
