CHAMBERLAIN, ORVEN - It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Orven Joseph Chamberlain, loving husband of the late Amanda (Albert) Chamberlain, which occurred on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1919 in Bathurst, NB he was the son of the late Amos J. and Virginia (Daigle) Chamberlain. He is survived by his sons Carven (Mona) of Grand-Anse, NB, Gerry and Donald both of Saint John; daughters Shirley (Jack) MacDonald, Rose (Earle) Gunn, Linda (Peter) Ferris, Lavina Carson, Mary Joan (Donnie) Duke and Brenda Lee Chamberlain all of Saint John; brothers Edward of Saint John and Addalord of Bathurst; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by four brothers and four sisters.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. Saint John (646-2424). Funeral service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 1 p.m. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to service time.
