Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, June 14, 2014, of Alice Richard (nee Pineau) of Charlottetown, age 85 years.
Beloved wife of the late Henry Richard and loving mother of Maureen Monaghan (Paul), Derek Richard (Susan) and Ronald Richard. Alice is also survived by her grandchildren - Jason Monaghan (Natasha), Trevor Chappell (Kathryn), Craig Richard, Logan Richard, Robbie Richard (Melissa), Destiny Monaghan and Rachel Richard; step-grandchildren, Blair Monaghan - deceased and Gail Monaghan; great-grandchildren, Cloe Chappell, Hunter Richard and Harper Monaghan; sister - Margaret McGuigan (Leslie - deceased) and brothers - Joe Pineau (Mabel) and Merrill Pineau (Gennie); brother-in-law - Ted Drew; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers - Harold and Ralph Pineau and sisters - Adele Burke, Ann Drew, Gertrude Bell and Imelda Gillis.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford, for visitation on Tuesday, June 17, 6-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 18, at St. Dunstan's Basilica at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
