November 9, 1937 - June 13, 2014: Following a brief but courageous battle with cancer, Jack passed away peacefully in Gander on June 13, 2014. He was predeceased by parents Robert and Mildred Parsons (nee Stroud), brother Fred Parsons, sisters Judith Parsons and Patricia Parsons, former wife Bridget Manning Stroud, step-daughters Karen Manning and Lisa Manning, and granddaughter Lori Simmons. Leaving to mourn partner, Kathleen Osmond and her children, Nikki (Robbie Penney) and Tanya; sister, Edith Ralph (Dave); son Dion Manning Stroud (Kathi); step-children Juanita Simmons, Michael Manning (Charlotte), Colleen Manning, Sean Manning (Sherry), and Clyde Manning (Paula); son-in-law Paul Young. Jack is also fondly remembered by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other extended relatives and friends. By Jack's request, no visitation or funeral will be held.
