PHINNEY, FRANCES - 1926 - 2014 - Frances Olive Phinney, passed away peacefully at The Briarlea on June 13, 2014, at the age of 87. Born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late George and Evelyn Purdy. Frances is survived by her daughter Janet (Larry) Burden of St. Andrews, brother Hubert (Audrey)Purdy of Moncton, Merle (Harriet) Purdy of Moncton, sisters; Lois Cormier of Moncton, and Joyce Holmes of Moncton, two grandchildren; Monica Burden (Brad Bruce) of British Columbia and Derek Burden of Australia, one great-grandson Brennan Bruce as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Frances was predeceased by her husband Gerald.
Visitation will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Thursday, June 19, 2014 from 7:00pm to 9:00 pm. A memorial service celebrating Frances’s life will be held in the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Friday, June 20, 2014 at 2:00pm. A reception will follow in the Garden View Room.
