LAWRENCE, FLORENCE MARILYN - On Wednesday, February 12, 2014, Florence M. Lawrence passed away at the South Health Campus Hospital in Calgary, AB. Born in Saint John, NB., she was the daughter of the late Cornelius and Mary (Ryan) MacKenney and loving wife of the late Harold Lawrence, who passed in 2003. Florence worked in customer service at Mac’s Meat Market and Woolco for a number of years. She and Harold loved adventures and travelled extensively throughout their marriage. Florence was a devoted mother and wife and she will be greatly missed. She is survived by her son Harold D. Lawrence (Val) of Calgary, AB; daughters Anne Ittner (Mark) of North Carolina, Nancy Parker of Saint John, NB and Lorraine Garnett of Calgary, AB; brother Donald MacKenney of Saint John, NB; sister Lois Slattery of Saint John, NB; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and several extended family members. In addition to her parents and beloved husband of 58 years, she was predeceased by her brothers Edward, George, Calvin and Malcolm.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) The family will gather for a graveside committal service Wednesday, July 2, 2014 in St. Joseph’s Cemetery at 11 am.
