With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Doria Anne (nee Gaudet) Richard age 76 years, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday, June 16, 2014, of 25 Sunset Drive, Wellington, and formerly of Cape Egmont. Born on June 12, 1937, daughter of the late Eddie and Beatrice (Perry) Gaudet. Beloved wife of the late Eric Joseph Richard and loving mother to Louis (Colette), Cédric (Mona), Aurèle (Sandra) and Desmond (Kelly). Doria was a cherished grandmother to Suzanne (Marc) Côté, Pierre, Matthieu, Tyler, Nathalie, Robert, and a great-grandchild Amélie Côté. Also cherished and forever in the hearts of her sisters Joan Heeschen, Mildred (Maxime) Arsenault, Betty (Joe) Arsenault, Janita (Alfred) Arsenault, Noreen (Urbain) Arsenault and a brother Edward Gaudet (Nancy Oakes). Survived by brothers and sister-in-law Cyril (Rosella) Richard, Arsène Richard, Adolphe (Léona) Richard, Hélène Dérasp, Mélina Légère, Bertha (Gordon) Perry, Angele (Melvin) Richard and Maria Bernard. Besides her parents she was predeceased by two brothers infancy Ralph and Cédric Gaudet also brothers and sisters-in-law Blair Heeschen, Alden Cameron, Sr. Marguerite Richard, Joseph Dérasp, Martin Richard and Robert Richard. Resting at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville until Thursday, June 19, then to the Notre Dame du Mont Carmel Church, Mont Carmel, where funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery. As an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Doria’s memory to the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home Building Fund would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, June 18, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
