WOLFVILLE – Margaret “Linda” Leigh, age 66 of Wolfville and formerly of Truro and New Glasgow, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Rita (MacNeil) Leigh.
Linda was a resident of Wolfville for the past 10 years and had previously lived in Truro. She was a former employee of Maritime Medical Care & MSI.
Surviving are her daughter, Candace MacKay (Duane Thomas), Ottawa; grandchildren, Link Thomas and Willow Bennett; a brother Robert Walter “Bobby” Leigh, Mississauga, ON; a sister Patsi (David) Blaikie, Little Harbour; nieces: Taylor, Hayleigh, Cassidy, Ashley and Erin and nephew Leigh; a brother-in-law Robert Murray; Aunt Phyllis Smith, Mississauga, ON.
Linda was predeceased by her parents and a sister Anne Murray.
At Linda’s request there will be no funeral service. The family will receive visitors from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday at the home of her sister Patsi , 5733 Little Harbour Road, New Glasgow (Kings Head ).
Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of Linda may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
The family would like to thank Dr. Farrell and all the nurses on the Palliative Care Unit.
