­PLYMOUTH – E. Isabel Jackson, age 87 of Plymouth, Pictou County, passed away on Wednesday, June 18th, 2014 in the Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow.
Born in Big Island, she was a daughter of the late Ewen and Helen (MacLean) Cameron.
Isabel had graduated from the Maritime Business College. She was employed by Maritime Tel & Tel for some 36 years retiring in 1986. She was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Isabel was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Stellarton and also a member of the Golden Link Rebekah Lodge #2.
Surviving are her husband, Robert C. Jackson; step-sons, Robert (Margie), Antigonish; Allan (Valda), Churchville; grandchildren: Heather, Halifax; David, Antigonish; Allison, Calgary; Christopher, Churchville; great-grandchildren: Sophie and Haley Pomeroy, Halifax; Ava and Paige Jackson, Antigonish. Isabel is also survived by a sister Anna Williams; Welland, ON; nephew Roy (Allie) Cameron, Trenton; niece Dorothy (Robert) Lange, Big Island; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother James, a brother-in-law Hugh Williams, a sister-in-law Pauline Jardine.
The family will receive visitors from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, 256 King Street, New Glasgow. A memorial service will be held on Sunday at 3 p.m. from the H.W. Angus Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles McPherson officiating. A reception will follow in the funeral home. Burial will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens.
