James W. Allen Passed away on Friday June 20, 2014 at his family residence in Curling while doing what he loved best working on his home. He was in his 89th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his daughter Shirley (Greg) Staples, son Dexter (Susan) Allen, grandchildren James (Jody) Allen, Mark Parsons (Brenda),Cathy Allen, Nicole (Jeffrey) Hussey, Allan (Chrystal) Staples, step grandson Brian (Mona) Staples, great grandchildren: Sydney, Shelby, Cooper, Mitchell, Tristan, Amelia, Dawson, Jenna, Brooklyn and Makenna, step great grandchildren: Cooper and Charlie, brother Robert (Melica) Allen, sisters in law: Cavelle Allen, Meta Allen (Merle), Anne Hilliard, Wilhelmina (Bill) Osmond, Joan Mitchell as well as a large circle of nieces , nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Alma, Parents George and Martha Allen. Friends may visit Fillatres Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Sunday, 2-4 & 7-9 and Monday, 2-4 & 7-9. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 24 at 2:00 PM from St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church in Curling with Reverend Rosemarie Payne officiating, Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of Sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to St. Mary The Virgin Anglican Church Curling.
