Passed peacefully away on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Patricia Mary Evans was surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her loving husband Herbert George Evans, mother Mary Stamp (nee Kearney), father Patrick Byrne and step-father Thomas Stamp. Left with fond and loving memories, her beloved children: Mary, Gwynith and Meredith (Elio Scigliano); son Christopher (Halla Thorsteinsdottir); grandchildren: Unnur Fjola and Thorsteinn Patrick Evans; sisters: Doreen Walsh (Michael), Geraldine Bouzane (James), Kathryn Fisher (Kevin); brother Patrick Byrne (Gloria); fourteen nieces and nephews. Patricia lived a full and adventurous life, travelling widely in North America and Europe with her beloved traveling companion Herbert. Together they enjoyed roughing it in a tent as well as fine dining at exclusive restaurants. Patricia also had a fulfilling career running her day care service for over 20 years. Patricia will be cremated. Visitation will be held at Caul's Funeral Home on Saturday June 28, 2014 between 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held in the Chapel at Caul's on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at 2 p.m. Inurnment to follow on Monday, June 30th at the Columbarium, the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road.
