Age 11 years, born February 12, 2003. Went to Heaven with the angels on the wings of a butterfly on Thursday, June 26, 2014, Tanisha Rose-Marie Walsh. Her final days were spent surrounded by her loving parents, family and friends whom Tanisha had touched in many ways through her memorable life. Predeceased by her great grandparents: Christopher Walsh, first wife Mary O'Rourke, second wife Melva Crocker; John (Jack) Squires, wife Elsie Stringer, Joseph Glasco, great aunt Carol Glasco, uncles: Stanley Walsh, Edward Walsh; aunt Deborah Walsh. Tanisha is survived by her loving and devoted parents: Alana Walsh, father Billy Glasco and her most amazing little sister Georgia; grandparents: Edward and Wanda Walsh, Georgina Glasco; uncles: Keith Walsh (Sonya and family), Eugene Walsh (Renee and family); aunts: Jackie Walsh (Ronnie and family), Shauna Walsh and family, Tina Walsh (Bernie and family), Daphne King and family; also aunts: Laura Glasco and family, Jessica Glasco and family; uncle Shane Glasco and family; numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins. Special thanks to the Doctors and Staff at The Janeway and caregiver Natasha, teachers, special friends at St. Matthews Elementary, Max Simms Lions Camp and Children's Wish Foundation. With Tanisha's passing we remind others that her life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss her every day, especially her beautiful smile, she will forever remain in our hearts and minds. God sends his special angels to watch over us and pray, they linger by our sides and never far away. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Friday from 11am-9pm and then on Saturday from 10am-9pm. Funeral service to be held from Barrett's Chapel on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to The Janeway or The children's Wish Foundation. At the request of the family, when visiting, people are asked to wear either Tanisha's colors (Purple or Pink) or bright colors. No black please.
