STILWELL, R. - It is with deep sadness the family of R. Blaine Stilwell, of Saint John, NB announces his death which occurred on June 26, 2014 at the Palliative Care Unit, Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born on February 9, 1941 in Saint John and a son of the late Lawrence and Doris (Slocum) Stilwell. He is survived by his wife, Claudette (Levesque) Stilwell; sons, Owen (Debbie), Saint John, Brian (Jennifer) Oromocto and Shawn; grandchildren, Jeremy, Cassandra, Nicholas, Zachary and Ben Stilwell; great-grandchild, Marshall; brothers, Gary (Shelly) and Roger (Angela); sisters, Joan (Bill) Dowd, Sandra MacLeod and Diane (Brian) Cormier; several nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Wayne.
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 12:00 noon. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
