Peacefully, at the Provincial Palliative Care Unit, on Monday, June 30, 2014, of Mrs. Dorothy "Dottie” Ward of Charlottetown, age 73 years.
Beloved wife of George “Butch” Ward and dear mother of Paul (Blanche), Michael, Mark (Shelley) and Tim (Dawn). Loving grandmother of Emma (Jeremy), Jamie, MacKenzie and Karleigh. Sister of Catherine Roach (Leo, dec.), Pauline McLellan (Jack), and sister-in-law of Shirley Flanagan.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Reginald (Bella), Pat Murphy (James), Ted (Doris), Jack (Lorraine), Jim (Shirley), George (Ruth), Dennis, Gracie Bristol (Archie), Gail McCormack (Leonard), and three sisters in infancy.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Friday morning, then transferred to St. Pius X Church, Charlottetown, for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dottie may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of P.E.I.
