It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Loving Mother Rosena (Rose) Hulan on Sunday June 29, 2014 in Edmonton. She spent most of her life in Stephenville. She was surrounded by all of her children and family. Cherished Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, she was a remarkable woman. She will be greatly missed by her 4 children, Carole (Cardinal), Linda Hulan (Cummings), Diane Hulan, Michael Hulan, and her beloved cat Maggie. She is also survived by her dear brother Fred, sons-in-law Gordon and Matthew, daughter-in-law Karen, and numerous nephews, nieces and relatives. Mom was predeceased by her husband William James, her parents Annie and Arthur, brothers Osborne and John, and sister Phyllis. She taught us so much about life, respect, humility, the value of silence, and so much more. Her jobs are all done, her spirit is free, and she is at peace now. She fought such a courageous battle, with never a word of complaint, right up to the very end. A private funeral service for family and close friends will be held on Monday, July 7 at 2:00 P.M. (viewing at 1:00) at the Westlawn Funeral Home, 16310 Stony Plain Road, Edmonton. Cremation will follow. We will be taking her home for burial with Dad, in Stephenville, later this summer.
