Delores Mary Dunn, of Victoria Road, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Margaret (Wade) Mahoney.
Loie was a member of St. Theresa’s parish, Sydney.
Surviving are her daughter, Raylene Dunn (Eddy), Sydney; sons, Bobby (Colleen), Sydney River and Gary (Maureen), Sydney; sisters, Nellie (Nelson) Muise, Sydney and Evangeline Corbett, Pennsylvania; brother, Michael (Sally), Sydney River; grandchildren, Leanne (Dave), Brent, Gregory, Angelica, Michael, Aaron, Britney and David, all of Sydney; brothers-in-law, John Dunn and Frank (Sandra) Dunn, Sydney; sisters-in-law, Myrna (Simon) Gillis, Sydney and Josephine Dunn, Brantford, Ont.; niece and best friend, Debbie Neville.
Loie was predeceased by her husband, Robert; son, Jimmy; and sisters, Margaret MacNeil and Rachel Martin.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. Theresa’s Church on Monday 10 a.m., with Rev. James Oliver officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery.
