
Julie Anne Milley (nee Chaulk)

(December 22, 1939 - July 3rd, 2014) age 74 years. Formerly from Burnt Islands, and resided in Mount Pearl for the last 50 years. She passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Complex on Thursday, July 3rd, 2014 while surrounded by her loving family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who committed her life to caring for her family. She was predeceased by her father Thomas Chaulk and her mother Emma (Harris) Chaulk, and brothers Chesley, Gerald and Sidney Chaulk. Left to mourn Julie's passing, yet celebrate her life, are her loving husband Alton Milley, her children Carla, Judy Milley-Tuttle (Dan Tuttle and granddaughter Amanda), Wanda (Milley) Vallis (Rob Vallis and grandchildren Braeden and Alyssa), Jamie Milley (Fiancé Nicole Lewis), Lori Milley Luison (Roberto Luison), brother Alexander Chaulk (sister in-law Florence), sister in-laws Myrtle and Phyllis Chaulk. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of family and friends whose lives she touched over her lifetime. She was well loved and respected by all who knew her for her kind heart and generosity. She was always there to help others in need. Her love of animals was widely known and she dearly loved her cats. She was actively involved in the Mount Pearl Soccer Association and the Mount Pearl Figure Skating Club. Her family would like to express a sincere thank you to Dr. M. Stefanelli and Neurology staff, the stroke team, and the Nursing staff of 4SB at the Health Sciences Complex for their care and compassion during her hospital stay. Also, a special thanks to Rev. Parsons and Rev. Guzzwell for their compassion during the past two weeks, their prayers and kind words were comforting and much appreciated. Julie will be resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl on Tuesday, July 8th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Her funeral service will be held at Barrett's Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, July 9th at 2:00 p.m. Her burial will follow at the Anglican Cemetery on Kenmount Road.
