SMITH, MARJORIE EVELYN - Marjorie Evelyn Smith of the Miramichi Senior Citizen’s Home, formally of Douglastown, passed away peacefully on July 3rd, 2014 at the age of 89. Born in Harcourt, she was the daughter of the late Allan and Evelyn (Wry) Campbell. She was a homemaker and a member of the United Church in Harcourt. Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Patricia MacLean, Moncton and Bonnie Brown (Dale) of Bathurst and her sons, Ronald Smith (Paulette) of Douglastown and David Smith of Douglastown. She is also survived by her sister, Eileen Beers (late Thomas) of Berry Mills and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her eldest son, Bobby MacLean, and her brothers, Clarence (Mance) Campbell and Doug Campbell.
In keeping with Marjorie’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. She will be laid to rest beside her parents in the Harcourt Presbyterian Cemetery at a private family burial to take place at a later date. In her memory, donations to the Miramichi Senior Citizen’s Home would be appreciated by the family.
