Evelyn Sinclair Bayer, age 94 of Halifax, formerly of Head of St. Margaret's Bay and Bedford, N.S., passed away on June 24, 2014, at her home in Halifax. Born in Summerside, Evelyn was the daughter of the late Harold R. and Grace C. Walsh (Bowness). Evelyn was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Frederick J. Bayer; her sister E. Frances Walsh; his parents Howard and Lillian Bayer (Young); his sister Marie (Harold Faloon); their grandson Christopher J. Wall and their son-in-law Michael F. Atton. Evelyn is survived by their daughters and son: Sandra (David Wall); Ronald (Marjorie Pemberton); Jennifer (Michael Atton); Jane (Kjell Venås); many grandchildren; great-grandchildren and by two nephews. In accordance with Evelyn's request, there will be no visitation or funeral. A private burial will take place at a later date in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. Donations in Evelyn's name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Salvation Army.
