DICKISON, VERONICA - Veronica “Vernie” May (Beck) Dickison, 62, passed away on July 5, 2014, at the VG Palliative Care Unit, 7A, after a long and courageous battle with Brain Cancer. Born in 1952, the daughter of the late Sherman and Emily Beck of Rexton, N.B. She is survived by her husband of 43 years Craig, daughters, Shona Mauger, grandson Bailey, Becky Mehlman, (Nicholas), granddaughter Abbigayle and grandson Keegan, her sisters, Carol Stewart (late Loren), Mary Shortall (Paul) and Vivian Beck, many nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and life-long friends. She was a graduate of the last class of Rexton High School. She worked at the T. Eaton Co. in Moncton, NB. She then took on her full time job of Mother and homemaker. Her caring, giving nature extended to all who came in contact with her. She is now at peace, with those that have gone before her, sharing a laugh and good conversation, which was a huge part of her life. We can only hope to join her when our journey in this life ends. She will be missed and always loved. Our Family would like to extend thanks to all the staff of the Cancer Treatment Center, Cancer Out Patient care, the Palliative Care Unit at the VG, the VON, and home care workers, who have assisted us through this time.
She will be cremated as She requested. A Memorial Service will be held at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Saturday, July 12, 2014, at 1 PM, 954 OLD Sackville RD, Middle Sackville, N.S. with a reception at the Church Hall following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory, to the VG, IWK or the Cancer Society would be appreciated.
