Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, March 17, 2008, Sadie Mercer-Peddle of Spaniard's Bay, age 66 years. Predeceased by daughter Pamela, parents Michael and Violet Mercer, brothers Joseph and John, sister Shirley. Leaving to mourn son Paul (Carol Saunders), Spaniard's Bay; five brothers: George Mercer, Toronto, ON; David (Kathleen) Mercer, Harbour Grace; Tom (Phoebe) Mercer and Stanley (Naomi) Mercer, both of Riverhead, Harbour Grace and Bill Mercer (Bonnie Collins), St. John's; three sisters: Ennett Dewer, London, England; Violet Wilcox (Russ Farrell), Barrie, ON and Kathleen (Ron) Lynch, Upper Island Cove; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, HARVEY STREET, HARBOUR GRACE and from where the funeral will take place on Thursday, March 20 at 10:00 a.m. Mass at 10:30 a.m. from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Harbour Grace. Cremation to follow. Inurnment to take place on Saturday, March 22 at 10:30 a.m. at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace.
