Passed peacefully away after a brief illness at the James Peyton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, Catherine Colbert of St. Brendan's, age 88 years. Predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Frank; October 2013; parents John and Johanna Connors; sisters Mary Turner, Margaret Mackey and Josephine Aylward; brothers Michael and Francis. Leaving to mourn with loving memories her sister Sarah (who resided with her), sisters-in-law Agnes Walsh, Grace Hynes, Anita Colbert, Klara Colbert and many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Kate will be remembered as a dedicated caregiver and wonderful friend. Resting at St. Gabriel's R.C. Church Thursday evening and Friday. Mass of Christian burial will take place on Saturday, July 12 at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at St. Gabriel's R.C. Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to St. Gabriel's Parish.
