RAE, FLORENCE HILDA - The passing of F. Hilda Rae occurred on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at her residence in Loch Lomond Village. Born in Saint John on September 20, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Annie Beatrice (Cheyne) and Gordon Warren Rae. Prior to her retirement, Hilda worked in the Payroll Department of Willett Fruit. She was a keen traveler and an animal lover, especially of Cairn Terriers. Hilda is survived by her sister, Helen Rae; brother, Charlie Rae; sisters-in-law, Mary Rae and Rowena Rae; nieces and nephews: Gordon Rae, Dawn Rae, Judy Coston, Jill Rae, Jane Rae, Bev Pearson, Stephen Rae, Marilyn Williams, and Evelyn Feicht; and cousins: Frank and David Loomer. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Gretta Williams; and her brothers: John and Wendell Rae.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, 634-7424. A graveside service at Fernhill Cemetery will take place at a later date.
